Habari SQS Client Announcement

July 3, 2008 - betasoft, independent software developer for Delphi(tm) and for the Java(tm) platform, is pleased to announce Habari SQS Client for Delphi(tm), a client library for the Amazon Simple Queue Service.

Amazon Simple Queue Service (Amazon SQS) offers a reliable, highly scalable, hosted queue for storing messages as they travel between computers. By using Amazon SQS, developers can simply move data between distributed components of their applications that perform different tasks, without losing messages or requiring each component to be always available. Amazon SQS makes it easy to build an automated workflow, working in close conjunction with the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and the other AWS infrastructure web services.

The release of Habari SQS Client is planned for the third quarter 2008.

An example application using Habari SQS Client is already available, BetaMQ, a free administration tool for Message Oriented Middleware. It supports three Message Brokers, using existing Habari clients:

  • Apache ActiveMQ 5.0.0
  • Amazon Simple Queue Service
  • xmlBlaster

The full source code for BetaMQ with Habari SQS - including web access to all development snapshots, the final release, and one year free upgrades - will be available as a special offer for early adopters. If you are interested in Habari SQS, please contact me.

About the word Habari: Habari is a word in the Swahili language and means 'message' or 'news'.
